The Emberá are an Indigenous people whose communities along the Chagres River welcome visitors. You leave the road behind and continue by motorized dugout canoe into Chagres National Park.
In the village, families share their music, crafts and way of life, and on most itineraries you hike to a waterfall to swim. Lunch is usually fish and plantain cooked in the village.
