Seeing the locks from the deck of a boat is a different experience from watching at the visitor center. On a partial transit you pass through the Pacific-side locks, rising or falling inside the chamber, and cruise the Culebra Cut, the stretch dug through the continental divide.
Boats run northbound (from the Pacific up to Gamboa) or southbound (down to the Pacific) on set dates. Transfers between your hotel and the marinas are included.
