Panamá Viejo was the first European city on the Pacific coast of the Americas, founded in 1519 and burned in 1671 during Henry Morgan's attack. Its ruins, including the cathedral bell tower you can climb, are part of the same World Heritage listing as Casco Viejo.

The tour pairs the ruins and site museum with a drive through the modern city and a stop in Casco Viejo, so you see all three Panama Cities in one morning.
